Buckwheat delights

The word Buckwheat may not instantly fill you with excitement, but trust us - the combination of these crunchy, malty, aromatic, toasted grains with smooth dark-milk chocolate is a flavour to savour. It’s actually many of our friends’ and colleagues’ favourite bar, and recently its deliciousness was been officially acknowledged with 2 Great Taste Stars.

Despite it's name, Buckwheat is not a wheat. It isn't even actually a grain - it's a seed from a flowering plant related to rhubarb and sorrel. It has a toasty nutty flavour, and is naturally gluten-free, rich in fibre, minerals, antioxidants, and is a complete protein. It's often used to make pancakes, and it's also very yummy with milk chocolate! We think this bar tastes a bit like a posh malteser.
